We have a royalty problem in this country: We don’t have any. And we’d kinda like to have some, even though we sailed the Atlantic to escape them. We sometimes get a little confused about what it is to wield power appropriately. And we sometimes struggle to remain clear about what it is to be citizens of a realm. Whatever other city, state, country, or realm we belong to, Christians are citizens of the Dominion or Realm of God. It is a dominion whose ruler has the heart of a shepherd, and whose subjects are ennobled for service.
