The father sees the returning prodigal while still far off. The older son is hard at work in the field. He’s been waiting for both of them, watching, hoping, with no assurance. Yet there he is. And when homecoming does happen, it’s a cause for celebration. In brokenness and isolation we wait and hope for God to act. And when God does, it’s a cause for celebration.
Still Far Off at the Reedville Church this Sunday, Mar. 27, 9:30 am, in-person and by Zoom at the usual link. Contact the church office if you need it.
New masking policy effective Mar. 13. In accordance with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Governor’s decision to lift the indoor masking mandate on Mar. 12, session has determined that masking will no longer be required in worship or other church functions while Washington County meets the CDC’s thresholds for *”Low Community Level.” Anyone is welcome to wear a mask at their discretion and those unvaccinated or vulnerable to infection are encouraged to do so for their own safety and the well being of the community.
