Consistent with the recommendations of the Presbytery of the Cascades Leadership Commission, Center for Disease Control, and government officials, Session has acted to suspend regular Sunday worship through Mar. 29. Church leaders will be exploring other options for worship and the conduct of other church meetings and activities.
While such a move evokes a variety of thoughts and emotions, it is a witness to the God who so loved the world that we do our part to care for our members and friends and contribute to our community’s well-being as we negotiate the Covid-19 outbreak.
Nothing replaces the Lord’s Day assembly. “Worship is at the very heart of the church’s life. All that the church is and does is rooted in its worship.” (Book of Common Worship, 1993, Preface) But we will try to provide points of connection. Watch for more information as plans are developed.
Grace and peace.
