How do you live as if something you can’t see is truer than the thing staring you in the face? That’s what the life of faith is all about. That’s what the church does, and has done, for 2000 years, and the Jews for thousands of years before that. “The days are surely coming” promises the prophet. It gets better. But the wait is oh so long, and the times can be so difficult. Nevertheless, the apostle Paul advises, persist in the proclamation of hope, whether the time is favorable or unfavorable, with utmost patience. It may not make you feel better, but it’s a good way to live.
