“Born Divided”
Right now we’re particularly aware of our divisions. To explain a divided people, the ancient Hebrews imagined “two nations in one womb.” We are born divided. But that’s not the last word. By God’s grace it’s possible to move through flesh to be embraced by Spirit, maybe what Lincoln called our “better angels.”
